The facility consists of concrete pontoons at a construction height of 1800 mm and a width of 4500 mm. The pier is anchored with 32-mm hot dip galvanised cable. It is equipped with lighting pedestals from Tallykey. The pontoons have boat booms that are 12.0 m long and 1.0 m wide. The primary function of the pier is to serve as home port for the Fast Attack Craft 90 combat boats of the 1st Marine Regiment (a.k.a. the Amphibious Regiment).
